Ministry of Tourism injects nearly $4 million into Huron Perth Waterloo and Wellington

In the last month alone the Ontario Ministry of Tourism Culture and Sport under the Honourable Minister Michael Chan has contributed almost four million dollars directly to the region in the form of Celebrate Ontario Funding and Regional Tourism Organization funding.

The commitment and support of the Province for the Regional Tourism model and the direct and ongoing role of the MTC&S in enabling RTO4 to work with regional tourism stakeholders to grow the tourism economy in Waterloo, Wellington, Perth and Huron is making a real and measurable difference.

Both the Regional Reservation System sales and the influx of capital to our major attractions & events are testaments to the fact that the RTO4 partners and our supporting DMO’s, Huron Tourism, Stratford Tourism Alliance, Perth County Visitors Association, Waterloo Regional Tourism, St. Jacobs Country, Visit Guelph and Elora/Fergus Tourism are making the most of the opportunities that the Province and the Ministry have made available.

Great work and thanks to the over 200 individual stakeholders who own and operate the tourism businesses of our region that are actively driving tourism growth through the Regional Reservation System and Marketing Platform – it is your product, your dedication, your ingenuity and resourcefulness that makes all the difference!
